Saturday, June 12th, at 11AM, Join us at Main Street Depot for Marilyn Price, puppeteer, and a celebration of our fundraising efforts to date! Main St Depot (on the tracks) 600 Main, home of Piccolo Theater, $5 suggested donation for children, $10 for adults. Many thanks to Evanston Festival Theatre for their generous donation of space, and to Marilyn for offering her time!
On Saturday, June 12th, 2010, children’s book author Mary Elise Monsell will be signing copies of her books Mr. Pin and Underwear at Evanston’s Simply Chicago Art (1318 Oakton) from 1-3 PM. Monsell, the author of eight popular children’s books, will be donating a portion of the proceeds from her book sales to Evanston Public Library Friends. Monsell is currently writing, developing new stories, and teaching gifted students. She has instructed several writing workshops to thousands of students throughout the Midwest. Her four mystery books about a penguin named Mr. Pin are popular favorites among young children.
