Happy New Year…

January 4th, 2011

Happy New Year, EPL Friends! In case you’re wondering about South Branch status, or looking to share your feelings about what 2011 might hold for the libraries, we’re all ears! Just know that we’re working like mad to preserve and expand neighborhood services to the entire Evanston community, and will keep you posted with the latest developments. In the meantime, make plans to attend the upcoming Library Board Meeting on Jan. 19th, and mark your calendars for MLK Day Kids Celebrations, 1 – 3 PM

at South and North Branches, Jan. 15 and 17th, respectively.

Upcoming meetings (crunch time).

November 3rd, 2010

There are two important meetings
we hope you’ll attend.

Saturday, Nov. 6th 9AM
Monday, Nov. 8th 7PM

Both will be held in Council Chambers at the Civic Center 2100 Ridge Avenue

Please let your alderman know how you feel about keeping the branch libraries open, find out what they’re doing to help, and how they’ll vote. A list of their email addresses is here.

Petition, Evanston Live Monday, Tendam Mtg Tuesday

October 13th, 2010

Couple quick things. Evanston Live will be filming at North Branch on Monday, Oct. 18th at 11:30. All are welcome, but you need to RSVP to this event.

Mark Tendam will host a mtg regarding the libraries at the North Branch on Tuesday, Oct. 19th from 7 – 9 PM. Come learn what we need to be doing (some more, and again…)!

And, last but not least, be sure to sign our petition online. They may not read it, but it’ll make you feel better.

Also, get geared up for our letter-writing campaign. Stay tuned for details!
